Combat style is hack n' slash, but refreshing still from what you're used to out of LOTR games (Incorporating skill points and talent trees you've come to use in all RPG's) and LOADS of weapons and armor to find/upgrade. True LOTR fans that like the books will also notice encounters with areas and characters you would only recognize from references in the books. Online co-op is solid, and the game carries over to new games, with harder difficulties, giving it decent replay value with friends. Personally find this game a lot of fun! If you were a fan of previous LOTR games (especially Conquest) you will like this game. Great Value for the money! LOTR fans will enjoy it.
